Data Services Programmer

The objective of this position is to assist all departments at the company in the resolution of data related problems by providing them with programming and data manipulation services.

Computers Unlimited creates innovative software for 3 distinct markets: Industrial Gas & Welding Supply Distributors, Home & Durable (HME|DME) Medical Equipment Providers, and Audiology & Speech Language Pathology (SLP) Practices.

Qualifications:

  • Education—Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, a related business area, or equivalent work experience. A business or math degree with a computer minor may be considered.

  • Experience—Excellent SQL Query skills are required. Working knowledge of C# programming is a plus.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with project leaders to convert customers data off of other computer systems and into TIMS format.

  • Work with procedural and technical support representatives for customer data manipulations.

  • Work with customers on aspects relative to their data change requests.

  • Write, send, and execute one time data changes on a contract basis with customers.

  • Assist technical support in the recovery of corrupted data.

  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of internal programs for customer services departments (ex: phone log system, customer maintenance, and Auto4 system).

  • Create new products that provide our customers with a more efficient way of accessing, displaying, and transmitting data.

  • Be a resource to other departments providing knowledge of Windows operating systems, SQL server management and file structures.

  • Assist in the execution of the annual Users Group Conference.

Necessary Skills for Optimal Job Performance:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
