Computers Unlimited ("CU") is committed to protecting your privacy. This statement explains what information we collect about visitors to www.cu.net and people who contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have.

It does not cover information our customers process through TIMS® or our mobile applications. CU handles that information — including any protected health information — on behalf of our customers, under our agreements with them and, where applicable, a business associate agreement. 

Information We Collect
When you fill out a form, request information, subscribe to communications, apply for a job, or contact our support team, we collect the information you provide — typically name, business contact information, job title, and company. We also collect technical information automatically through cookies, including IP address, browser and device type, and pages visited. We may receive business contact information about you from partners with whom we conduct joint marketing, and from publicly available sources.

How We Use It
To provide the products and services you request and respond to your inquiries; to send service and security notifications about products you use; to send marketing communications where permitted; and to operate, secure, and improve our website.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.
We share information with service providers who perform functions on our behalf — hosting, marketing automation, email delivery, and analytics — under contracts that limit their use of it. We participate in joint marketing with selected partners and, with your permission, may share your business contact information so they can send you information about their products and services. You can stop this at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in any marketing message. We may also disclose information where required by law, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies on www.cu.net to keep the site working, remember your preferences, understand how the site is used, and measure the performance of our advertising. Some are provided by third parties, including HubSpot (our website and marketing platform) and LinkedIn (advertising measurement). You can accept or decline non-essential cookies through our cookie banner; blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the site from working.

Mobile Applications
Some features in our mobile applications require access to your device's location. The apps use location information (for example, latitude and longitude) to track cylinders and geocode customer locations. If background location is enabled, the app records the device's location so dispatchers can see the route taken and calculate route mileage. Location accuracy depends on GPS, IP address, device sensors, and nearby Wi-Fi access points, cell towers, and Bluetooth devices, as well as your device settings. The apps also send the device's phone number to TIMS to monitor device counts and to support remote wipe if a device is lost or stolen.

These applications are deployed by our business customers to their own personnel. The customer that provides you with the application decides how this information is used and is responsible for notifying its workforce. CU does not share it outside the customer's organization.

Security and Retention
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, or longer where required by law or contract. Where we use AI-enabled features or vendors, we do not permit personal information to be used to train third-party AI models.

Your Choices
You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time, ask us to stop sharing your information with marketing partners, or ask what personal information we hold about you and request that we correct or delete it. Contact us using the information below; we may need to verify your identity before responding. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state or provincial privacy law, and we will honor those rights where they apply.

Additional Information
Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
