What Your Patients Are Saying About You Matters... A Lot!

Do you consider online reviews when making a purchase? Today's consumer can quickly look up any product or service, national or local, and find out the experiences of others. There is no difference for audiology clinics. What your patients say about you online matters.
 
Like it or not, the internet has changed everything. With a few clicks, information on your clinic's staff and services is available for all to see. Online reviews can be one of your most valuable marketing tools and can make or break a business.
 
It is vital that you treat your reviews as if your patients were talking directly to you, because in essence, they are. They are also talking to everyone else about you, especially if they're unhappy with your services.
 
Three Quick Tips to Achieving 5-Star Reviews
 
1. Keep Your Reviews Current—Urge your patients, or their family member/caretaker, to leave a review of your services. Ask them to include the type of care you provided. Give your patients exceptional care and in return they will give you exceptional reviews.
 
2. Respond To Your Reviews Promptly—We all do our best, but for whatever reason, if you do have an issue with an unhappy patient, respond to the issue by phone and at the review site. Immediately and compassionately take the steps necessary to remedy a bad review.
 
3. Make friends with Google—When patients Google your business, your name, phone number, directions to your business, and an outside photo of your business will appear. Also visible is how many reviews your business has and what kind of rating patients have given it. This is where first impressions are made. If a bad rating is visible here, how much further do you think anyone will continue to seek out your practice?
 
Your online reputation is often the first impression for a prospective patient. According to a recent survey on the importance of reviews, 77% of patients use online reviews as their first step in finding a new doctor.
